What exactly do you believe?
You can find a brief doctrinal statement here.
Do you ask for money?
We do not pass a plate or ask for any kind of offering. We simply have a small offering box for those who fellowship with us and feel led to give. All offerings go to such things as outreach, events, and hopefully soon to a dedicated space for us to meet.
"So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
Can I bring my kids?
We do not, at this point, have any kind of children's ministry, but feel free to bring your kids along. Younger children can play in a supervised playroom while older kids are welcome to join us for the message. We also have a fun group of teenagers that occasionally get together for activities and fellowship on their own.
How do I know you're not a bunch of wackos?
Well, I guess telling you that we aren't a bunch of wackos won't convince you. I can tell you that we typically study the Bible, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse, and consider it to be our ultimate source of truth. If that makes us wackos, then I guess we're wackos.
Are you a church?
Yes and no. It depends on your definition of a "church". To us, a church is not a building, a group of believers, or a denomination. The church is instead the entirety of the body of Christ as represented in a beautiful variety of fellowships and congregations. We are an expression of this great body of Christ that meets together as a small fellowship.
Do you have music?
Yes, usually. But, it's nothing formal. Picture more of a group-of-musicians-around-a-campfire feel than a traditional worship band. In fact, if you play an instrument, talk to Brad about bringing it and playing along with us.
What about speaking in tongues and such?
While we do believe in the continuation of spiritual gifts, our gatherings are not really the place to exercise such gifts. We're more about studying, praying, seeking God, and growing in faith together.
What version of the Bible do you use?
Brad teaches from the New King James Version. Feel free however, to bring whatever version you are comfortable with. We've always got some extras on hand if you don't have one to bring.
What if I just want to visit?
We would love to have you visit! We know it can be strange to show up to a small group where you don't necessarily know anyone. Don't worry, you won't be pressured to become a part of our fellowship or be put on the spot. Still a little nervous? Give Brad a call before you come.
